Music

Discovering the Joy and Power of Music

Our music curriculum invites students to experience the joy of making music while developing skills that enrich their academic, creative, and personal growth. Through singing, movement, rhythm, listening, and instrumental experiences, students build a strong foundation in musical understanding and expression. They explore a variety of musical styles, traditions, composers, and cultures while learning important concepts such as melody, rhythm, harmony, dynamics, and musical form. Engaging, age-appropriate activities encourage every student to participate, experiment, and develop confidence as a musician, regardless of prior experience.

Music also provides students with opportunities to collaborate, communicate, and express themselves in powerful and meaningful ways. As they create and perform together, students develop focus, discipline, creativity, and perseverance while learning the importance of listening and working as a team. Our supportive music environment celebrates individual talents while fostering a sense of community and shared accomplishment. Whether singing in an ensemble, learning an instrument, creating original music, or responding to music from around the world, students discover that music is not only a skill to develop but a lifelong source of creativity, connection, and joy.
